Our marble gum polishing service uses graded diamond pads, alkaline cleaners and crystallising compounds to remove that wear layer and reveal the bright, reflective stone underneath.
No replacement, no hacking, no dust sheets for weeks. A standard 1,200 sqft landed living floor is restored in two to three working days, dust contained with HEPA vacuums, and the surface walked on the same evening. The result is the marble you remembered — deeper colour, glass-like reflection, and a finish that resists staining for years longer than chemical sealers alone.
Diamond Honing, Not Chemical Shortcuts
Cheap polishing services pour crystalliser onto a worn floor and buff it to a temporary shine. That gloss disappears within months. Our process is mechanical: progressive diamond honing from 50-grit through 3,000-grit removes the actual damaged layer of stone, exposing fresh marble at the surface that polishes naturally to a deep, glass-clear reflection.
After honing we apply an impregnating sealer that penetrates below the surface and bonds with the calcite structure, repelling oils, wine and acidic foods at the molecular level. The floor stays mirror-bright with nothing more than a damp microfibre mop. Where previous owners gave up and laid rugs to hide etching, you will be moving the furniture to show the floor off.

We inspect stone type, photograph etching and chips, and dry-test a 30cm sample patch.
Edge & Heavy Honing
Edges and skirting are honed by hand; main field cut down with coarse diamond pads.
Fine Polishing
Progressive grits build the reflection; final pass at 3,000 grit produces a true mirror.
Sealing & Handover
